Job Description:

Purpose of Position:

Design, operation, control, and optimization of chemical Coated Fabric processes focusing on safety, economy, reliability, quality, and sustainability. Serves as a process expert for Plastisol Coating, Rotogravure Printing Embossing, and Plastisol Compounding.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
•Bachelor's Degree in related engineering discipline

Experience:
•3 years in a Process Engineer role
•3 years in automotive, textile or rolled goods MANUFACTURING
•3 years of Six Sigma Tool utilization

Greenfield / Start up Manufacturing Operations & Continued Expectations:

•This is considered a “hands on position,” requiring all team members to work outside of normal job scopes, in a team effort, to insure the safest and most efficient path of a successful plant start up.

•Extensive travel to Cambridge Canada and Changshu, China to learn absorb, document, and prepare to train all newly hired employees in the 6 Core processes:

◦Vinyl Plastisol Compounding (mixing)
◦Plastisol Cast Coating / Lamination (Plastisol line)
◦Rotogravure Printing / Embossing (Print line)
◦Top Coat Mix
◦Inspection – Visual Inspection Tables
◦Re-reel and packing

•Must have automotive-supplier experience as a Process Engineering with a proven track record, utilizing PPAP, APQP, 8Ds, TS 16949. Must be intimately skilled in automotive quality systems, customers and processes

Working Conditions:

•Usually work in an office, plant and lab environment, but the mission of the organization may sometimes take them to non-standard workplaces.
•Standard work week, but additionally will often work evening, weekends, and overtime hours to accommodate activities
•Domestic and International travel
